Love Is Like a Child To Me

Have you ever thought that your Virtual friend who lives far away one day will live next door to you?

I'm about to tell you a Real Virtual Love story that happened thanks to me.

For many years  XENA was just a virtual friend to me. I met her just once in her city almost two years ago and I thought I'd never see her again. A year and a half passed and she came to my home town and since then I'm seeing her really often. How did that happen? She really wanted to see me but for some reasons she couldn't stay at my place. I offered her to stay at my best friend's place for a week  because he lives alone and wouldn't mind her company. I made him download The Chatting Site and we actually met on a flashmob but it's a completely different story. The funny thing is that Morton ( The Guy's Name) wasn't really keen on that idea because he didn't like her as a person. But he agreed to offer her shelter because it means to me a lot.

It’s very easy to guess what happened next. There was instant chemistry between them at the very first moment they were left alone and there was a moment when their friendship ended. I guess Morton is reading this right now and wants to strangle me, but hey, Kate gave me her permission on writing this, so cool down and enjoy the fame, he-he. 

They were lovers. They fit each other in the bedroom perfectly. One thing that stopped them to be together as a couple - they are from two completely different worlds. She is a hot brunette with a bitchy attitude and he is "a good guy" if you know what I mean. 

When she went home, she realized that she fell in love with him deeply. All men she knew before were nothing like him. He was on her mind 24/7 and he, to everybody's surprise, didn't give a damn and ignored her calls. All our friends expected it to turn the other way round. How come? She was a real hottie every man would want to pick and he wasn't really lucky in relationships with girls. She was hurt a lot by his ignorance. I mean, wouldn't she be? He's probably the first guy who dumped her. Kate hated him so much she went out with other guys just to forget him… but couldn't.

So why didn't he want to be with her? He was secretly in love with me. Yeah, that stuff happens quite often between friends with different gender. I had no idea what he felt for me and tried to fix his relationship with Kate, and it only hurt him more. He was even ready to be with her not to lose our friendship. 

Kate phoned me every day and cried that she can't live without him but after he confessed to her to her that he has feelings for me, she gave up. She said that she forgot him and dated another guy. The thing is that I have a boyfriend but Morton still believed in the impossible. 

I couldn't watch him suffer and offered my friend Alina to take him out on a date. She was also lonely because she just split up with her boyfriend and wanted to chill out. But after their second date Alina understood that she didn't sympathize Morton. The joyless part was when he found out what time she finishes working and decided to surprise her with a flower and a chocolate. When he phoned Alina she told him that unfortunately they are unable to meet today because she has just been sent for some urgent work to the other side of the city by her boss. He didn't realize that it was an obvious lie and he phoned me. Luckily, I turned out to be close enough to encourage him, it was my bloody idea about the surprise anyway. We met and he asked me what the hell should he do with the flower? I teased that he should eat it and give me the chocolate, he-he. We had a lot of fun that day and he didn't call her since. 

When Kate found out that I arranged a blind date for him, she got really infuriated with me. She couldn't get over him and her heart was tortured. But Alina didn't fancy him and that gave Kate another chance. She started to chat on the phone with Morton and they came up with friendship. The next thing I found out was Kate's arrival to my city next week, and that she was going to stay at his place. How was that possible? 

Well, before he was very flattered that she loved him madly, and he treated her rudely, laughed at her with his friends and that made her cry every time, but she kept letting him humiliate her. What on earth changed now? 

She understood what was wrong. One bright morning Kate showed him complete indifference. She convinced him that she stopped loving him and sees him only as a friend. That was quite shocking for him, because that was what he kept telling her constantly before "I see you only as a friend". And each time he tried to bug her, she told him with a calm intonation "We are friends, right? Then why don't you treat me with respect, you don't want to lose our friendship, do you?" And guess what - that actually worked. She locked his self-confidence in a box.

Kate arrived but she got awfully ill on her train journey there. He took care of her, gave her medicine, cooked her breakfast, treated her to milk and honey, etc. He didn't tell her anything that would upset her. When she was shivering from fever, he cuddled her and they slept together. With clothes on, no sex, no kisses, like best friends. They continued behaving like that until the fifth day, when they finally made love, and a new, real relationship had started. He wouldn't let her go home for another week, and when she left, he missed her so much, that his heart forced him to follow her.

He stayed at her place for four days and they spent some blissful moments together. She phoned me every day and shared how they were so happy together and that her Grandmother and Parents liked him a lot. Two weeks had passed since and now she is already in Kiev (my city) with her beloved. They don't even have time to see me, hee hee. But yesterday I went to their place and we enjoyed a little Halloween party. 

I forgot to mention that it isn't all that perfect, she is no longer my Virtual Friend because we fight a lot, but she is the only person who listens to my problems and has supported me like nobody else. For that I am grateful to her.

A lot of people don't believe that their relationship is going to last until the end of the year, but I hope for the best. They are so different and that is what makes them look perfect together.

She is moving into his place soon and I'm really enthusiastic about their wedding, which is meant to be in the Spring. They asked if I would be the photographer on their wedding day. Hell yes!
